These barracks are nearly identical and many of them can be seen around the city of Tu'narath. Six barracks typically surround a supreme commander's bastion and serve as barracks and training halls for his troops. Each barracks contains 200 githwarriors and 100 githyanki soldiers. Leading these githyanki soldiers are 20 sarths and 2 kith'raks which follow the orders of their supreme commander.

These buildings are towering three-story buildings with 40-foot-tall thick, black walls to protect them. While the building is not fully enclosed, it is nearly so and practically impenetrable from above except by small, agile astral ships and flying creatures such as dragons. The rooms are 20-foot-tall and, if lit, are lit by permanent continual flame spells.
